Fons Hendriks, Antoinette Hertsenberg’s assistant, is fiercely criticized for his facial hair. A viewer is quite furious about his mustache. “He looks just like Adolf Hitler.”
Celebrities who regularly appear on television receive a lot of unsolicited advice. One person thinks this, another thinks that, and they all say it en masse. For example, they write on social media or send direct mail. And that also happens to Fons Hendriks, Antoinette Hertsenber’s Radar assistant.
‘Just Hitler’
Fons shares his Instagram several emails from disappointed viewers. “Hello. Just watched your program and saw Fons with his mustache. Hitler with his mustache, I thought. This is not possible,” writes one.
And the other: “I’m watching Radar and I’m shocked by Fons’ appearance. The mustache combined with the brown suit brings an unpleasant association to me. For your attention.”
‘Weirdos!’
So Fons is not satisfied with that at all. “Dear respondents, the fact that some facial hair under an unmistakable nose causes you enough offense to climb into the pen and express your annoyance does not mean that the person being addressed conforms to your taste,” he responds.
Antoinette’s sidekick has no plans to adjust his facial hair. “To tickle your brain a little more, I shared a photo of the current state of my mustache. Bunch of weirdos. Kisses.”
Support from celebrities
Fons receives support from a number of celebrities. For example, Marlijn Weerdenburg says: “Love the mustache.”
And journalist Liesbeth Rasker: “Favorite mustache.”
