After two years of absence, the flower parade was back tonight in Heemstede and Haarlem. With some delay the procession, which had left from Noordwijk this morning, entered the province. NH Nieuws was there live: watch the broadcast below.
The flower parade has 55 cars and covers a route of 42 kilometers from Noordwijk to Haarlem. On the way the procession passes through Sassenheim, Lisse and Bennebroek. The floats will remain in Haarlem until Sunday so that enthusiasts can view the floats up close.
As always, the parade turns out to be a huge crowd puller this year. The event has been canceled for the past two years to prevent gatherings and inhibit the spread of the coronavirus.
