An altercation allegedly took place between the two girls on the bus. “The bus was really packed and I walked to the back of the bus to look for a seat,” Ambre told ‘Sudinfo’. The other girl allegedly said “in a very annoying tone” that there was no seat. “I told her she had no right to talk to me like that, and that if she had a problem we could talk about it outside.”

Emotions ran high. After the two got off the bus, they started fighting. The other girl’s mother was also waiting for them there. “Suddenly her mother, who she had called on the bus, hit me on the back. I didn’t realize she had hit me with a baton. Then she moved on to my calves, where my skin was exposed. Adults tore us apart.”

But that wasn’t all. The mother afterwards spat on Ambre’s bandana and threw it in her face. The woman then attacked the teen again. “She ripped my clothes off and I ended up half naked on the street, in front of dozens of men.” Christelle, Ambre’s mother, was informed of what had happened by a friend. “I ran to a nearby restaurant to take shelter and waited there for my mother,” Ambre said.

Complaint to police

According to Christelle, “the blows did not cause anything serious,” she told ‘Sudinfo’. “I can’t understand how a mother can hit a 14-year-old girl with a gun.” Ambre’s mother has now filed a complaint with the police.

It is prohibited to own or carry a baton in Belgium. Anyone who commits a violation risks a fine of 25,000 euros or a prison sentence of up to five years. In the event of a violation, the weapon is confiscated and destroyed, even if the weapon does not belong to the convicted person.
