Dutch people crossed the border en masse this morning to stock up on fireworks in German supermarkets for New Year’s Eve. Images on social media show how several Lidl branches are being looted just across the German border. They even stand in line for two hours before the store is open. In some supermarkets the shelves are empty before dawn and the stock has run out.
