In Enshi, central China, five people drowned on May 16 after an accident on a pontoon bridge. The driver of a tourist van with eight occupants loses control of the vehicle. The van ends up in the Shiziguan River and soon sinks down. Three people manage to escape from the sinking vehicle, the five others fail. Any help for them comes too late. Local police are still investigating the incident.
