Rescue workers drilled a tunnel to the room where the victims were and placed a pipe with a diameter of 90 centimeters. It was big enough to get the construction workers out. The men were wheeled out one by one on stretchers and taken to a hospital for a check-up.

The construction workers were unharmed after the collapse of the road tunnel under construction, but were trapped in a space more than eight meters high and two kilometers long. They received food, water and medicine through a small tube.
