LOOK. This is now the most expensive new car in the world | Bizarre

The British luxury brand Rolls-Royce has presented the most expensive car in the world with the Arcadia Droptail. The car cost 28.5 million euros and the interior is reminiscent of a luxury yacht.

The name alone is reminiscent of paradise: the Arcadia Droptail is named after a mystical, paradisiacal land that the ancient Greeks dreamed of. This dream convertible was built for an unnamed customer who was closely involved in its creation. No wonder considering the price.

The car was unveiled in Singapore during a private meeting. The owner was not disclosed. It is clear that this is a special car. The wooden deck surface on the rear panel is reminiscent of a chic superyacht. The dashboard and other interior parts are also made of wood and of course all made by hand.

The Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail wears a lavish white body, inlaid with aluminum and glass particles that create the illusion of an infinite painting, while the gray painted carbon bonnet, the only Droptail to have it, contrasts everything. The grille and huge 22-inch wheels are fully polished to a mirror finish. In the passenger compartment is the most complex clock ever made by Rolls-Royce.

Excluding wood fittings

In addition to the two-tone leather upholstery in white and brown, what is most striking about the Arcadia is the wood fittings. Rolls-Royce specifies in its press release that this plating took more than 8,000 hours of work, counting between the production, painting and installation of the 233 pieces of wood, 76 of which are for the rear deck alone.

And if that’s not enough, the material used is said to be ‘Santos Straight Grain’, which is known to be very fragile when used. A varnish has been developed especially for this precious wood, so that it can withstand all climates, including tropical ones. The other attraction of this impeccable convertible is on the dashboard. It is the most complex clock ever made by Rolls-Royce, composed of 119 raw metal facets with a geometric pattern.

600 hp

The assembly of the famous timepiece required no less than five months of work, after a two-year design phase. The Rolls Royce Arcadia Droptail is powered by a 6.75 liter V12 from Rolls-Royce itself, which has over 600 hp. Enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in five seconds. Fast, but not bloody fast. And why, because performance is not the main focus in this English convertible.

The new price is reportedly 28.5 million euros, but you do get a body for which the engineers used carbon fiber inspired by Formula 1 racing cars. The current most expensive car in the world is the Boat Tail, also from Rolls-Royce, with a sales price of 26 million euros. This luxury convertible is also built with yacht-like features. The owner is the son of a pearl manufacturer, who did not want to be named.
