The local police of Portage (Indiana) have shared bodycam footage of the rescue of Matt Reumer (27). He was trapped in his crashed car for six days at the end of December and survived only on rainwater. Two hikers came across the wreck by chance, it was under a bridge. They called the emergency services and they were eventually able to free Matt. He was taken to hospital where his leg had to be amputated. In the meantime, he also met his two rescuers and remains positive: “My faith in humanity has been revived,” he said.
