In Alteveer, the Netherlands, an eleven-hectare field was on fire. A lot of smoke was released. Much of the field has burned down. Contractors and the farmer himself pulled the burning ground apart with tractors. A platoon from Drenthe that specializes in wildfires was called in to help. The fire service reports that the fire is currently under control.
