LOOK. Just as the drone attacks the Kremlin, two people climb the building | War Ukraine and Russia

Just as a drone seems to explode during a night attack on the Moscow Kremlin, two people climb the dome of the building. This can be seen in images of the explosion. It leads to speculation about who these people are, and what they were doing on the roof of the Kremlin at the time.

It is currently unclear who those people are. They only add to the mystery surrounding Russia’s accusation of an “assassination”. The moment the drone explodes, the two seem to dive away for a moment, but they remain standing on the roof.

Ukrainian and Russian media write that it is reported on Telegram and other social networks that these are people responsible for the “air defense” of the Kremlin. Others may see it as an indication that the attack was staged by Russia itself.

“We are not attacking Putin or Moscow”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denies that his country had anything to do with the drone attack reported by the Russians. Moscow saw it as an attempt by Kiev to assassinate President Vladimir Putin. “We are not attacking Putin or Moscow, we are fighting on our own territory and defending our towns and cities,” Zelensky said at a press conference in Finland’s capital Helsinki.

Washington also gives little credence to the claims from Russia. Foreign Minister Antony Blinken says to take all reports from Moscow “with a large grain of salt”. “I have seen the messages, but I cannot confirm them,” said Blinken. He did not venture any further comment or speculation as long as he did not know the facts.

Russia threatens retaliation

The Kremlin’s press service had previously revealed that the Kremlin was the target of a two-drone attack on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday and pointed the finger of blame at the Kiev regime. The drones could be shot down and there was no damage or injuries, but Russian authorities nevertheless labeled the incident an attempt on the life of Russian President Vladimir Putin and warned of countermeasures.
