LOOK. Dutch couple wants to get married in dinosaur suit: “Didn’t think about the rings” | The best thing on the web

Bennie de Wit and Jantine Kneepkens attracted a lot of attention at the Eindhoven city hall on Tuesday morning. The couple was there to get married, but they did it… in a dinosaur suit. Their two witnesses also hopped around like dinosaurs. Hilarity abounds there!

For Bennie and Jantine, getting married in the town hall was just a formality and so things could have been a bit crazier. “Saturday is our big party. Then we just wear nice clothes, a bit in Halloween style. But no horror,” says Bennie.

It was his idea to deal with the legal part in an inflatable dinosaur suit, “to do something different from others”. Jantine adds: “We are a humorous couple, we like craziness and a joke.” The stunt was not completely thought out, because what about the rings? “Yes, we hadn’t thought about that yet,” says Jantine. Whereupon Bennie suggests a bracelet.

“I have never experienced this before, with four dinosaurs,” responds Edith Koppelmans, who clearly has not stolen her name as a marriage registrar of the Dutch municipality of Eindhoven. Although she had already married another crazy couple on Tuesday morning. “This morning another couple arrived in jogging clothes. They had already walked seven kilometers. They arrived here all sweaty.”

Ultimately, it turned out that Bennie and Jantine were not allowed to say yes to each other in their dinosaur suits during the official part, because the faces must be recognizable – and of course they also have to be drawn. But that didn’t spoil the fun. “I’m completely happy,” Jantine said afterwards. And Bennie? He laughed that he is “already under it” and so from now on he will just have to agree with what his wife says.
