LOOK. Drone footage shows an evacuated Icelandic town torn in two

Iceland has been hit by a series of (major) earthquakes in recent weeks. Ten days ago, a state of emergency was declared for the Reykjanes Peninsula, where there are fears of a volcanic eruption. The fishing town of Grindavík was completely evacuated as a precaution. Drone images now show how a crack in the Earth’s surface appears to split the abandoned town completely in two.
