‘Letzte Gereration’ says on its website that the hotel’s bar was sprayed with “orange warning paint”. “Here the orange is just an innocent color filling the air, in New York it’s suffocating smoke, in Canada a lingering sea of flames. We can’t wait for the climate catastrophe to finally threaten the rich and change their direction,” the climate activists write on Twitter.
On Tuesday, activists had already sprayed a private jet at Sylt airport with orange paint to protest against overconsumption by the rich.
Police say the activists who smeared the hotel were between the ages of 19 and 63.
