Today, heroic North Hollanders gave everything all day on the Alpe d’Huez to raise money for cancer research. Five thousand participants climbed the mountain in the French Alps today with sweat and tears. And not for nothing. It ultimately yielded an amount of 17,022,738 euros. NH reported live all day.
14 kilometers long, a climb of about 8 percent and 21 turns at an altitude of almost 1,900 meters. It was quite a challenge for all the climbers, but they made it. That happened alone, but also in a team. NH was there and reported on all the special stories on the mountain.
