Several accidents on the A16 on Thursday caused long traffic jams from Brabant towards the Randstad. An accident involving several cars happened early in the morning on the Moerdijk Bridge, as a result of which road users from Breda to Rotterdam were delayed by half an hour. Later in rush hour there was another accident.
Due to the busyness on the A16, it was also busy on the A27. The connection on the A58 was also due to an accident. From Breda to Eindhoven between Tilburg-Centrum West and Best there was a traffic jam for half an hour.
It was also busy from Den Bosch in the direction of Utrecht. That caused a fifteen minute delay. From Venlo in the direction of Eindhoven, there was a 14 kilometer traffic jam between Asten and Leenderheide. Road users there had to take into account a little more than 15 minutes of delay.
It was busier than usual, but there were no major problems in Brabant. “You see that people drive more carefully and keep more distance than usual,” said Erwin de Hart of the ANWB.
