The Flemish government obliges people who have been out of work for two years or more and receive benefits to do community service. This concerns, for example, support at events, the green service or in schools. It should increase the chance of a new job.
But the plan appears to have little success, at least throughout Flanders: only five people are currently in that process. It is a success in Ostend: three out of five are working there.
