Detectives have now looked at the answers to the questionnaires that more than a hundred people had to fill out, including Johnson. These individuals were involved in gatherings at Johnson’s Downing Street office and other government buildings during a coronavirus lockdown. The affair was given the name partygate, because it would involve parties and Friday afternoon drinks.
Police have not yet issued any fines or referred a case to justice. Each response to the questionnaire will be reviewed along with all available evidence, and if enough evidence is gathered, a referral will be made, police said.
