Lollapalooza 2023 in Berlin: tickets, arrival, times, weather

Good news: The sun should shine on the festival weekend. Pack sunscreen and a bucket hat.

The Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin is entering its seventh round: This year it will take place on September 9th and 10th, 2023, on the grounds of the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Park Berlin. These include: Mumford & Sons, David Guetta, Aurora, Lilly Palmer and Wa22ermann.

Admission: Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets: Everything you need to know

Tickets are still available for the festival. Over ticketmaster on the one hand, from a price of 400 euros, who would like to buy a “Travelpackage” ticket, which includes an overnight stay in a hotel and many other conveniences. But on the other hand there are also “normal” tickets – for example a 2-day Tix for 199 euros, 2-day Teen-Tix for 129 euros and day tickets for Saturday and Sunday for 115 euros. There are also 5 Friends tickets for 195 euros per person.

Anyone who would like to go to the festival as a VIP can do so for 349 euros.

Personalized tickets

However, on its website (under the FAQ), the Lollapalooza warns that the tickets are only available personalized as “mobile tickets”: “Due to the increased number of counterfeit tickets in circulation in recent years, and tickets being sold at inflated prices on the black market, work is being done we with personalized tickets.”

Tickets for multiple people

If tickets have been purchased for several people, the festival goers will first find them in the Ticketmaster account. In order for every festival visitor to have access to the festival site, each ticket must be passed on to the individual person via the ticket transfer.

Here, too, the festival warns: “Please note that the possibility to transfer your tickets ends on Saturday, 9/9/23 at 9 am. All transferred tickets must first be accepted by the recipients!”

Weather

Festival visitors are in luck: on September 9th and 10th the sun is supposed to shine in Berlin and 27 degrees and no rain at all are expected.

The address of the festival: Olympischer Platz 3, 14053 Berlin. The use of public transport is recommended. If you still want to come by car, it is best to park in the parking lots at the nearby S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations and travel the last few kilometers by train.

Arrival by public transport:

The underground station Olympia-Stadion can be reached with the underground line U2. From there it is a short walk to the stadium (east gate entrance: 500m, south gate entrance: 870m).

Average driving time:

• Two minutes from Ruhleben underground station
• 13 minutes from Zoologischer Garten underground station
• 25 minutes from Potsdamer Platz underground station
• 36 minutes from Alexanderplatz underground station

With the S-Bahn lines S3 and S9 you can reach the S-Bahn station Olympiastadion. From there it is only a short walk to the stadium (south gate entrance via the Flatowallee exit: 200m, east gate entrance via the Trakehner Allee exit: 250m).

Average driving time:

• seven minutes from Spandau S-Bahn station
• 14 minutes from Zoologischer Garten S-Bahn station
• 23 minutes from Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn station
• 26 minutes from Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station

With the bus lines M49 and 218 you reach the stop Flatowallee. From there it is only a short walk to the stadium. You can take the 104 bus to the Neu-Westend underground station. From there you can either go directly to the stadium or take the U2 underground line one more stop to the Olympiastadion station.

Arrival by car:

Coming from Hamburg/Rostock:*

• City ring road towards Charlottenburg (A100)
• Kaiserdamm South exit
• Drive along the Kaiserdamm, across Theodor-Heuss-Platz, in the direction of Spandau (Heerstraße), keep right
• Turn right into Flatowallee, direct access to the stadium / south gate
• alternatively: access to the south underground car park – turn left from Flatowallee; Follow Jesse-Owens-Allee, after approx. 100 m turn right to access the south underground car park

Coming from Munich/Nuremberg, Hanover/Magdeburg, Leipzig:*

• Avus (A115) in the direction of the Funkturm motorway triangle
• Exit Messedamm (direction A100), keep right
• Turn left at the second traffic light
• turn right into Jafféstraße up to Heerstraße
• Turn left into Heerstraße, right lane
• Turn right into Flatowallee, direct access to the stadium / south gate

From the Brandenburg Gate:*

• Unter den Linden, towards Spandau
• Along Kaiserdamm via Theodor-Heuss-Platz, along Heerstrasse in the direction of Spandau, then follow the signs
• always drive straight ahead, keep to the right
• Turn right into Flatowallee, direct access to the stadium / south gate

Parking:

There is a large number of public parking spaces around the Olympiastadion Berlin, which can also be used during events (partly for a fee):

  • Olympic Square (max. 2.8 tons per vehicle)
  • Parking PO4 with disabled spaces (max. 2.8 tons per vehicle)
  • Car park PO5 with disabled spaces (max. 2.8 tons per vehicle)
