The KNMI warns of dense fog in Brabant, among other places. Code yellow has been declared, in some places visibility is less than 200 meters. There is also a risk of slippery conditions due to freezing of wet road sections.
Rijkswaterstaat, municipalities and provinces have had many gritters driving since Wednesday evening. The slipperiness is expected to decrease during the morning, when the temperature will rise above freezing. The dense fog also disappears in the second half of the morning, the KNMI reports.
Rijkswaterstaat advises road users to adjust their driving style where necessary. Road users may use their fog lights in dense fog. If visibility is less than 200 meters, the front fog lights may be turned on. If visibility is less than 50 meters, the rear fog light may also be turned on.
Air traffic at Eindhoven Airport is not affected by the fog. The website shows that all flights fly according to schedule.
