“Local temperatures could exceed 35°C”: Spain and Portugal expect unusually late heat wave

Autumn may have started, but there is little sign of it for the time being. It is not only late summer here for us at the moment, this also applies to parts of Spain and Portugal. They will have to deal with a major heat wave there in the coming days. In the south of the Iberian Peninsula, the mercury can rise to 35 °C and more for several days in a row. That is very unusual so late in the year. Meteorologists therefore expect that several temperature records will be broken.
