Friday the winter border is just north of the Netherlands. Occasional rain will fall from the associated cloud cover in the north. Further south it will remain dry in most places. It will then be between 8 and 10 degrees. During the day, cold air moves into the north of the country.
During the Christmas season, the cold air moves a little further south. In the northern half of the country, temperatures barely rise above freezing. It is not yet clear how much snow will fall, according to the weather bureau. In a strip across the center of the country it could be 1 to 3 centimeters, but there are also weather models that come with hardly any precipitation. It could even clear up a bit in the north. On Boxing Day, the cold air from the south is again displaced. As a result, the temperature rises above freezing again. It is cloudy with occasional rain.
After Christmas, the weather seems to be getting softer due to the supply of soft air. It is cloudy almost every day and occasional disturbances with rain and some more wind pass. At first it is 7 to 10 degrees, around the turn of the year it seems to be getting a bit milder.
