In Kherson, after new Russian air strikes, the emergency services have their hands full recovering all victims. With Russian troops operating from across the Dnieper River, Ukrainian soldiers feared new attacks. The Russians also focus their attacks mainly on homes and businesses, which has killed dozens of civilians. Ukrainian Lilia Kristenko watches as her mother’s body is taken from the front of her house: “I hate them, the Russians. They snatched the most valuable people from my life.”
