Jörg Wetzel, Managing Director of Lloyd Shoes GmbH, died suddenly and unexpectedly last week at the age of just 53. The management, works council and employees of Lloyd Shoes GmbH are deeply affected by his unexpected death.
“With Jörg Wetzel, I’m not only losing a more than valued colleague, but also a good friend,” says Andreas Schaller, spokesman for the management. “Lloyd loses an excellent managing director who has kept the company up and brought it forward with all his strength over the past few years. We will never forget his competence, his joie de vivre and his humanity.” The two managing directors steered the company through the corona pandemic together.
Jörg Wetzel joined the management of the company in 2016. Most recently, he was responsible for the areas of finance, controlling, law, human resources, logistics, IT and e-commerce.
