Lloyd increases annual sales by nine percent

LLoyd Shoes GmbH, based in Sulingen, closed the 2023 financial year with an increase in sales. Due to the positive development of all business areas, revenue last year grew by nine percent to 128 million euros compared to the previous year.

Despite a difficult overall situation in the shoe trade, Lloyd’s direct-to-consumer business will develop extremely positively in 2023. The men’s shoe brand maintained its top spot last year in the sales ranking in shoe retailers and the women’s shoe collection also recorded pleasing growth, according to the statement. In addition, the retail partners’ sales also increased, particularly due to a large number of re-sortings in the first half of the year.

“The consistent implementation of our corporate strategy with a strong brand presence, a reliable basic program and a secure ability to deliver continues to support Lloyd’s positive corporate development,” says Andreas Schaller, spokesman for the management of Lloyd Shoes GmbH.

The growth trend was more pronounced internationally than domestically, which led to a corresponding increase in the export quota. In important foreign markets such as Austria, Switzerland and Denmark, sales were in some cases higher than the previous year. In 2022, Lloyd took over the retail operations in Denmark independently, a move the company described at the time as a “milestone.”
