Llambi chooses the best “Let’s Dance” candidate of all time

“Let’s Dance” is already 15 years old. In the meantime, the celebrities are dancing their legs sore in the 16th season. However, the current competition was paused on Good Friday, instead the special “Dances, Pictures, Emotions” on RTL looked back on the long-lasting show.

What Dieter Bohlen (69) is for DSDS, is Joachim Llambi (58) on “Let’s Dance”: chief judge from the very first show, merciless in the jury’s verdict and irreplaceable today.

In the special, however, the gnarly adjudicator reveals: “I actually owe everything to Hape Kerkeling. I came on this show and I wasn’t known in Germany. And Hape actually introduced me as Herr Lammbi. The fact that I am still sitting here is largely the fault of Hape Kerkeling.”

Kerkeling (58) moderated the first two seasons and especially liked to tease “Mr. Llambi”, the war of words quickly became a cult. Hape then went, but Llambi stayed until today.

Since then, numerous celebrities have won the show, always with a professional dancer. But for critical dance expert Llambi, one surpassed ALL. And that person has already done that with another format …

Who is Llambi’s number one? A bunny … Llambi hid his darling in an Easter bunny costume for the whole special show. After an endless three-hour review, the secret was finally revealed: Germany’s first superstar Alexander Klaws (39) is the best “Let’s Dance” candidate!

In 2003, the singer won the first season of DSDS. Finally, in 2014, Klaws also won “Let’s Dance” with professional Isabel Edvardsson (40). He also “owes everything” to Klaws, as he admits. “We’re still very, very close friends.”

Llambi to Alex: “You enchanted us from the first moment on ‘Let’s Dance’.” For him “the best candidate we have ever had”.

With such an honor, why did Klaws have to sweat all the time in a rabbit costume? Only RTL knows that.
