Lizzo seems to have taken a liking to Rammstein: After the 34-year-old pop singer performed a short acappella version of “Du hast” at her show in Hamburg on Monday (February 20), she has the full-length song in Berlin played. This caused both cheers and laughter from her fans – after all, the red laser and light show and vocal Till Lindemann imitation is not necessarily something you would expect at a Lizzo concert.
Check out a little recording of the Rammstein vocals here:
Lizzo, whose birth name is Melissa Jefferson, is currently on the Special world tour. On February 20th she played a show in Hamburg, followed by a performance in Cologne on February 27th. A day later she performed in the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin – you can read the full concert report here.
The musician won her fourth Grammy a few weeks ago for her single “About Damn Time”, shortly after which she covered Sam Smith’s and Kim Petras’ hit “Unholy” on the BBC Live Lounge – a song that also raked in the Grammys.
