It has also been requested that APS biocontrol shows that this is not the case. “When a midge op je huid lands, dwaalt hij een beetje rond voordat hij te bijten begins”, says Dr. Allison Blackwell van het bedrijf tegen de BBC. “Of the moment that de midge is geland, zal een van de medewerkers hem eraf halen.” Also, there are no candidates and no muggennet over hun hoofden.

The 34-year-old natural photographer James Roddie shared last week a video on Instagram because he said it was a long time ago when he was young. Hij laat aan de BBC weten dat hij persoonlijk niet zou deelnemen aan zo’n test “maar dat is omdat ik anyway een groot deel van mijn werkzame leven met midges bezig ben.”
