Reds confirm departures
After Roberto Firmino (31), Liverpool FC has confirmed the departure of another trio. Midfielders Naby Keïta (28), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (29) and James Milner (37) will leave the Reds on a free transfer when their contracts expire at the end of the season. Liverpool once spent a total of 139 million euros on the quartet.
With Firmino: Liverpool FC’s most valuable departures
All four played their part in coach Jürgen Klopp’s side winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in 2019 before clinching their first championship in 30 years with 99 points in the 2019/20 season . How the quartet will continue is still open. Milner is said to be on the verge of a move to league rivals Brighton & Hove Albion.
We can confirm Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts this summer.
Special acknowledgments will be paid to the quartet at Anfield, with further tributes to follow at the end of the season.
