Liverpool points loss worries Klopp: ‘I see our game as a defeat’ NOW

Jurgen Klopp is not pleased with the way Liverpool started the new season in the Premier League on Saturday. ‘The Reds’ drew 2-2 at Fulham and immediately lost two points.

“The best thing about this game is the result. We got a point from a very bad game. I don’t think we deserved more either. We really need to do a lot better,” said a critical Klopp at Craven Cottage. Sky Sports.

It even looked for a while that Liverpool would lose to Fulham. Aleksandar Mitrovic gave the Londoners the lead in the 72nd minute from a penalty kick caused by Virgil van Dijk (2-1). Mohamed Salah prevented Liverpool from starting the competition with a defeat eight minutes later.

In the first half, Fulham had already taken the lead via Mitrovic, much to Klopp’s dismay. “Our start to this game was exactly what I hadn’t envisioned. We played into Fulham’s hands and couldn’t get into the game. We are used to dominating more, but were not sharp and precise enough.”

Liverpool’s draw to newly promoted Fulham comes a week after winning the FA Community Shield. In the match against rival Manchester City for the English supercup, the FA Cup winner showed himself from a much better side.

“It is my responsibility to find out how we can play a good game against Manchester City one week and show the opposite the next week. I see our game against Fulham as a defeat, only the result was not. We have to learn from this,” Klopp concluded.
