Liverpool-Inter, Sanchez: the two faces of the Chilean

The fluctuating season of the Chilean between (many) benches, flashes of genius (few) and controversies, up to the unfortunate expulsion against Liverpool which put a tombstone on the Nerazzurri’s hopes of comeback

It is a short step from “Niño Maravilla” to “Niño Pesadilla”. Or at least it was at Anfield, where the Chilean (and with him all Inter Milan) went from stars to rags in a matter of minutes, thanks to the red remedied immediately after Lautaro’s winning paw. In the space of about twenty minutes, those spent between the two yellow cards remedied for as many entrances on Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho, Sanchez has tainted a performance that until then had been capitalized for commitment, generosity and substance. Suddenly, the red waved by Lahoz, the same one who had pardoned him at the end of the first half, inevitably forced Sanchez to face his responsibilities, recalling at the same time the polemical phrases and the social outlets of a short time ago.
