Liverpool FC WINS within striking distance

Team manager Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool have made the title race in the English Premier League really exciting again.

The Reds won the catch-up game at Arsenal 2-0 (0-0) on Wednesday evening and, after their eighth league win in a row, moved up to one point on leaders Manchester City with 69 points. On April 10, Liverpool takes on City.

In London, Diogo Jota (54th) and former Hoffenheimer Roberto Firmino (62nd) scored for the guests, who won against Arsenal for the fourth time in a row (12-1 goals) in the Premier League.

The Gunners, who lost for the first time since January 1 (2-1 to Man City), are fourth on 51 points but have played two games fewer than the top duo. National goalkeeper Bernd Leno only sat on the bench as usual.
