Also depends on Palhinha deal
According to media reports, a move from Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch to Liverpool FC is taking shape the day before the transfer window closes. Accordingly, the Premier League club and the Bundesliga club have intensified talks about the possible modalities of the transfer and if the outcome is positive, Liverpool is ready to make an official offer for the 21-year-old midfielder on Säbener Straße.

The Ajax native, who came from the Eredivisie for 18.5 million euros last summer, is considered willing to change. Most recently, Gravenberch has also been linked with Manchester United, where his former coach Erik ten Hag is also still looking for a player for the centre. However, the Dutchman favors a transfer to Liverpool if both clubs can reach an agreement, writes among other things “The Athletic“.
Gravenberch’s contract in Munich runs until 2027, and the club’s management at the record champions is said to have opened up to a permanent sale in recent days due to persistent advertising from Liverpool. According to reports from England, a fee of between 30 and 35 million euros is under discussion, which roughly corresponds to the market value of the eleven-time national player. The latter had been reduced by five million euros during his first Bundesliga season.

“I don’t want to experience a year like that again,” Gravenberch told the Dutch daily “De Telegraafsaid after his first Bayern season with just over 900 minutes in all competitions and only three starts in the league. With a view to the new round of the championship, he announced: “I just want to play more, preferably at Bayern Munich. And otherwise at a club where I play 100 percent.”
Whether that would be the case in Jürgen Klopp’s squad given the competition from players like Thiago or newcomers Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo remains to be seen (overview). A deal on the Bayern side also depends on whether you can commit a backup at short notice. As the “Picture” reported, the preferred solution for the ‘six’ position is Fulham FC’s João Palhinha. According to the newspaper, the people of Munich have already made an offer.
