Liverpool took a 2-0 routine win over Brighton. After the match – and already during it – the biggest topic of conversation was the Lokit hammer Robert Sánchezin violence in a situation where Luis Díaz pushed the winning goal of the match.

Díaz left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 19 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead Joël Matipin for excellent vertical feed. Sánchez ran out of goal, though he saw no way to get to the ball before the Colombian.

Díaz shoots well but he has a deflected shot which is saved by the opponent’s keeper.

Referee Mike Dean did not see anything wrong with the situation, and the VAR aid punched the red card Stuart Attwell he did not even direct the main judge to the video monitor.

The referee had no doubts and he gave a penalty in favor of Sánchez.

Mo Salah finalized 2-0 final numbers from the penalty kick in the second period. A three-point away win put pressure on the league top Manchester City end. Liverpool still tops just one win away.
