This season’s Champions League became a national match between England and Spain.

All four semi-final teams will come from two historic kingdoms. On Wednesday, Manchester City and Liverpool secured their passports, making it to Real Madrid and Villarreal.

Appropriately, the semi-final pairs are also divided equally: Liverpool will attack Villarreal as an overwhelming pre-favorite. Pool manager Jürgen Klopp however, there is no need for a separate reminder that Unai Emeryn the group has already dropped Juventus and Bayern Munich this spring.

Athlete-coach Diego Simeone sent his team to attack more boldly than Etihadilla a week ago, but in the end he had to accept the disappointment of a 0-0 draw.

The last minutes of the match pair were played long and hard. In the very last seconds Ángel Correalla there was still an opportunity to take the solution to overtime, but City’s brass guard Ederson kept his goal clean.

CIty grabbed the opening of the semi-finals with a 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, on Anfield Road, a strong deputy from Liverpool braked a 3–3 draw with Benfica. The paints of the reds were recorded Ibrahima Konatélle and Roberto Firminolle (2).

Liverpool will advance to the semi-finals with a total of 6-4 goals.
