Farmers are back on the road today in protest against the announced nitrogen measures. In The Hague, a vote will be held this afternoon on motions that were recently submitted during the nitrogen debate in the House of Representatives.
Dozens of farmers with tractors have gathered at the provincial house in Assen and a hay bale is on fire along the A28 near Pesse, the fire brigade reports. Tractors are also on the road in other parts of the country and burning bales can be seen on the roadside.
