+++ DFB Cup draw: DHB national coach as Losfee +++
While the Bundesliga game between VfL Bochum and VfB Stuttgart (in the live ticker) is still running and shortly before the game between TSG Hoffenheim and FC Schalke 04 starts (kick-off 7:30 p.m., in the live ticker), roll the remaining four balls with RB Leipzig, SC Freiburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and the Stuttgarters who are still active in them through the large plastic bowl.
These will be drawn this Easter Sunday by national handball coach Alfred Gislason, who acts as the lottery fee. This had specially missed the HBL top game between THW Kiel and SC Magdeburg.
“The problem is when I’m sitting in the hall, everyone is watching me. There’s a lot of scrutiny to see if I show any emotion when one team or the other scores a goal. It’s always a problem. That’s why I got the invitation also gladly accepted for the cup draw,” said Gislason to “Bild”.

The semi-finals will be played on Tuesday 2nd May and Wednesday 3rd May, with the final taking place in Berlin’s Olympiastadion on 3rd June. Both semi-final games will be broadcast on free-to-air television.

There were two surprises in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern, with new coach Thomas Tuchel, lost to SC Freiburg (1-2) in their own stadium. This means that last year’s finalist can once again hope for victory. Of the four remaining teams, the Breisgauer are the last that has not yet won the DFB Cup.
Bayern’s pursuer Borussia Dortmund is also out. BVB had to admit defeat with a clear 2-0 cup defender RB Leipzig. Will the Red Bulls repeat their success in 2023?
