Nearly 5,000 Ukrainian civilians managed to escape yesterday from areas where fighting is particularly fierce. The majority of them arrived in the city of Zaporizhia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls the new Western sanctions against Ukraine “spectacular, but not enough”. He wants an import ban on Russian oil in western countries, as well as the complete disconnection of Russian banks from the international payment system.
