“European Union will continue to support Ukraine”
The European Union will continue to support Ukraine “in its struggle to restore its territorial integrity”. Josep Borrell, the High Foreign Representative of the European Union, stated this during a visit to the Ukrainian port city of Odessa. This involves military, economic, political and diplomatic support.
Borrell again blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for ending the grain deal, which allowed Ukrainian grain exports across the Black Sea despite the war. That decision will mean that many people around the world will have nothing to eat and will go hungry, he denounced. The foreign representative pointed out that until recently Ukraine was the largest grain supplier to the United Nations World Food Program.
It is not known what Borrell’s planning will look like. For security reasons, the visit was not announced in advance.

Medvedev: more Ukrainian territories in Russia in the future
The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and former President Dmitry Medvedev says that Russia may annex more Ukrainian regions in the future. He makes the statements while Russia is celebrating the fact that the country claimed four Ukrainian territories a year ago.
“The special military operation will continue until the Nazi regime in Kiev is completely destroyed,” Medvedev said. “The victory will be ours. And more new regions will belong to Russia.”
Moscow held elections earlier this month in the annexed regions of Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhia. None of the areas are fully under Russian control and Ukraine is engaged in a counter-offensive to retake the areas. The areas are not internationally recognized as Russian.
Medvedev, once considered a liberal reformer, has emerged as one of the strongest supporters of the war since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He also regularly posts inflammatory messages on social media in which he criticizes the West.
