For BVB and its new coach Edin Terzic, however, things come full circle on tonight’s cup evening: In the 2020/2021 season, Terzic won the DFB Cup after a run as BVB coach and defeated RB Leipzig 4-1 in the final. Today, the successful coach returns to the sidelines and is supposed to lead the black and yellow to titles again.

When preparing for the next cup hit against BVB, TSV 1860 was already in good form and also hungry for goals: On the first matchday of the new third division season, the lions won at Dynamo Dresden after a spectacular game 4: 3 and thus underpinned their promotion ambitions in the 3rd division. At the final dress rehearsal last Tuesday in the state cup, a 7-0 victory against district league team SV Rödelmaier followed.

In Munich, the fans of the lions are hoping for a great football evening and the next cup surprise: TSV 1860 receives Borussia Dortmund in the 1st cup round in the stadium on Grünwalder Straße and wants to be a cup fright like last season. Last season, the sixties first knocked out SV Darmstadt in front of their own fans and then defeated Schalke 04 in the second round.
