Now the East Westphalians have to get active again and that’s what they’re doing. Stöcker moves from the outside left to the middle with a lot of speed and then finishes with his right foot. But the ball is still decisively blocked.

63.

14:53

Verl reacts strongly: After a long throw-in from the left side, the ball is extended into the back area, where Yari Otto rushes up and shoots the ball directly at the goal from ten meters. Keeper Nikolai Rehnen has to stretch and scrapes the ball off the line!

Rouwen Hennings

Tooor for SV Sandhausen, 2-1 by Rouwen Hennings

Rouwen Hennings takes care of the matter and then shoots the penalty halfway up the middle so that Unbehaun can parry the ball forward. Only in the follow-up shot with his long leg does the striker poke the ball over the line.

59.

2:48 p.m

Rouwen Hennings

Penalty missed by Rouwen Hennings, SV Sandhausen

57.

2:45 p.m

Torge Paetow

Yellow card for Torge Paetow (SC Verl)

Hennings has too much space in midfield and can send Ehlich through the ball into the opponent’s 16. The fast defender is then touched very lightly by Paetow – if at all – and brought down.

57.

2:45 p.m

Penalty for Sandhausen!

55.

2:43 p.m

Marcel Mehlem

Yellow card for Marcel Mehlem (SC Verl)

Substitute Mehlem immediately gets a yellow card after dragging Ehlich to the ground in the center circle.

54.

2:43 p.m

But now! On suspicion, Baack hits a high ball from the right back area into the SVS penalty area. Wolfram stands correctly, plucks the leather and then shoots centrally into the box from eleven meters. But keeper Rehnen can easily catch the ball.

52.

14:41

The game is currently largely taking place between the two penalty areas. There were no goal area scenes in this half.

48.

2:37 p.m

As at the beginning of the first half, the hosts are more active in this half and play a little more purposefully forward.

Kick-off of the 2nd half

45.

14:23

Half-time conclusion:
In the premiere duel between SV Sandhausen and SC Verl, the score was 1-1 at halftime. At the start of the game the hosts were the more active team and had a few chances to take the lead. Little was seen of Verl until the 12th minute, when they coolly converted a flat corner. Marcel Benger circled the ball beautifully from the right back into the far corner. After that, Verl increasingly controlled this tough game, but without really having any great chances himself. Only shortly before the break did the SVS strike back and equalize almost out of nowhere with Max Geschwill’s header.

45.

2:16 p.m

Max Swell

Tooor for SV Sandhausen, 1:1 by Max Geschwill

Sandhausen equalizes! The subsequent corner is again brought sharply into the 16, where Max Geschwill throws himself into the ball and then has a bit of luck that the ball deflects into the right corner.

44.

2:15 p.m

Top opportunity for Sandhausen! Mühling’s corner only hits the far post, where Otto brings the ball sharply into the middle again. There Knipping heads the ball into the top corner, from where keeper Unbehaun scratches the ball off the line.

43.

14:13

A few minutes before the break, the duels become more intense and the mood heats up a bit. The sandhouses in particular seem a bit frustrated.

39.

2:09 p.m

Rouwen Hennings

Yellow card for Rouwen Hennings (SV Sandhausen)

Rouwen Hennings goes foot first into a duel rather impetuously and then gets so upset about the whistle that he gets a warning.

38.

2:09 p.m

Verl now makes the game very tough and rests a bit on the lead – but without losing control. Instead, it is coach Alexander Ende’s team that is currently launching the structured attacks.

34.

2:06 p.m

The corners number four and five fly – this time without success – into the Sandhäuser 16s. The SVS, on the other hand, has not yet been able to get a corner.

32.

2:03 p.m

After a cross from the right, Weik is able to control the ball in the backcourt and then shoot at goal from 25 meters. But the play equipment flies again far over keeper Luca Unbehaun’s box.

30.

2:00 p.m

Half an hour has been played and the whistles are increasing in the sunny Hardtwald Stadium because there is hardly anything left to see of the sand houses. They continue to have a hard time against compact East Westphalia.

27.

13:58

Maybe a free kick can help. Alexander Mühling brings the ball high and sharply from the far right to the first post, where Sebastian Stolze heads again. But the ball flies well over the crossbar.

25.

13:56

The guests are now getting more and more under control defensively. They run high and aggressively at the SVS players, who are currently barely able to get behind the chain.

22.

13:54

When Verl becomes dangerous offensively, Batista-Meier has almost always been involved. This time too: He leaves Weik on the right wing and then crosses halfway into the six-yard box, where Lokotsch cannot properly control the ball and the SVS clears.

20.

1:50 p.m

Marcel Benger

Yellow card for Marcel Benger (SC Verl)

The goalscorer pushes Livan Burcu to the ground, preventing a possible counterattack by the home team.

18.

1:50 p.m

SC Verl arrived in the game out of nowhere thanks to the goal and seemed very calm about how calmly and confidently they played forward. But the SVS has significantly more chances and keeps Verl’s defense busy.

14.

13:46

On the other hand, the Sandhäuser have the best chance of equalizing! Jonas Weik, who has moved up, is played to the left of the opposing 16 and then has several chances to either cross the ball or finish from an acute angle. But all three of Weik’s attempts are blocked by Verl’s defenders.

12.

13:42

Marcel Benger

Tooor for SC Verl, 0:1 by Marcel Benger

Out of nowhere, Verl’s scoring machine strikes! Batista-Meier takes a corner ball flat into the half-right back area, where Benger can receive the ball completely alone and then circles it beautifully into the top left corner.

9.

1:40 p.m

Next cross into the Verl penalty area: Jonas Weik pulls it with his right foot into the middle, where Sebastian Stolze just narrowly goes under it.

7.

13:37

Nico Ochojski

Yellow card for Nico Ochojski (SC Verl)

Nico Ochojski steps on Livan Burcu’s foot and sees an early yellow card.

6.

13:37

You can tell that the hosts want to combat their home weakness and start more offensively than the losers.

4.

1:35 p.m

A first attack by the Sandhäuser on the right side: Ehlich brings a cross with his right foot to the first post, where striker Hennings climbs up but heads the ball well wide of the goal.

1.

1:30 p.m

Let’s start in the sunny Hardtwald Stadium!

13:14

Compared to the 2-2 draw against Ingolstadt, head coach Alexander Ende only made one change to the starting eleven: Maximilian Wolfram replaced Yari Otto in the offensive.

13:12

While Sandhausen was able to prepare for today’s game for a week, Verl had to play again during the week. In the Westphalia State Cup, the sports club won against the regional league team SC Wiedenbrück 5-3 on penalties and thus reached the quarter-finals.

13:08

Light and shadow also alternate with the Verlern this season. However, they were somewhat surprisingly very consistent in the last three games and picked up wins against Arminia Bielefeld and RW Essen. The draw against the in-form FC Ingolstadt last weekend can also be given credit to East Westphalia. With ten goals scored from the three games, Verl now has the best offense in the league.

12:56

In terms of personnel, there are three changes in the starting eleven for the men from Hardtwald compared to the away game in Unterhaching: Instead of Dennis Diekmeier, Tim Maciejewski and Franck Evina, Sebastian Stolze, Livan Burcu and Rouwen Hennings start.

12:54

After all, coach Danny Galm’s team had a clean sheet again against Unterhaching. Keeper Nikolai Rehnen has been able to keep his box clean five times this season, which is a league record.

12:49

Sandhausen’s feelings have gone up and down in the last few weeks. Victory, draw and defeat alternated happily for the second division relegated team. Most recently, this was followed by a win at SC Freiburg II, a defeat against SSV Ulm and last weekend a goalless draw at SpVgg Unterhaching. This further cemented their promotion curse – they have not yet been able to win against any of the four promoted teams this season.

12:40

For the very first time in history, SV Sandhausen and SC Verl will meet. Both teams are in the broad and very narrow midfield of the third division table with only one point between them.

12:27

Hello and welcome to the 12th matchday of the 3rd league! From 1:30 p.m. SV Sandhausen meets SC Verl.
