In the premiere duel between SV Sandhausen and SC Verl, the score was 1-1 at halftime. At the start of the game the hosts were the more active team and had a few chances to take the lead. Little was seen of Verl until the 12th minute, when they coolly converted a flat corner. Marcel Benger circled the ball beautifully from the right back into the far corner.
