Conclusion:
At the end of over 100 minutes, FC Sevilla and BVB split 1-1 in the Youth League. The game was dominated for long stretches by many small fouls and a few interruptions, which explains the overtime. For example, there were nine yellow cards. In between, however, some football was also played and that with advantages for FC Sevilla, who definitely deserved a lead during the break. However, the goal fell after a little over an hour after a corner kick. BVB, who until then had rarely played an offensive role, quickly hit back and equalized. Not much happened in the final phase, except that there were still a lot of interruptions to overcome. Ultimately, the draw is probably not enough for both teams, as they are now further down the group table with just one point after three games.

Yellow card for Vincenzo Onofrietti (Borussia Dortmund)
The Italian is late on the touchline against Ortin and hits the opponent’s scorer. Yellow is fine here too.

The referee seems to be in the mood for the sunny weather here. After nine minutes at the end of the first half, this time it’s officially six.

Official stoppage time (minutes): 6

17:55
Sergio Veces (Sevilla FC) is shown a yellow card.
The free kick flies into the wall and the guests counterattack, but Veces stops it and receives a warning for it.
87
17:53
Yellow card for Filippo Mane (Borussia Dortmund)
Mane fouls the sixteen! On the one hand, Mane is suspended in the next game, on the other hand there is a free kick from a good distance.
84
17:50
Iker Villar (Sevilla FC) is shown a yellow card.
Villar keeps his foot on it against Collins. Yellow is absolutely fine.
82
17:49
Double change again at BVB. The substitution of Aning, who was injured without the opponent’s influence, could be particularly bitter, which is rarely a good sign.

Rijkhoff does well in the center, holds the ball and can stage strike partner Brunner. He tries to move into the penalty area, but some Andalusians can get in the way of the scorer and prevent a finish.

BVB’s quick equalizer was of course extremely important. We remember the situation in the table and in view of this, the final phase should certainly be exciting, because a draw doesn’t really help either team.

17:37
Tooor for Borussia Dortmund, 1:1 by Paris Brunner
The two jokers sting! Substitute Šimić prevails on the left and crosses into the middle. There, of all people, goal scorer Ortin deflected the ball onto the second post, where Brunner only had to nod off from a short distance and was able to confirm his goal threat again and again.
66
17:32
Tooor for Sevilla FC, 1-0 through Iker Ortín
But the ball is now wriggling in the Borussia net! After a corner kick from the right, Mane is a little too far away from Ortin, who can nod off at the near post.
63
17:31
Even more offensive power for BVB! One of the newcomers is Paris Brunner, who plays primarily in the U17s and has scored 16(!) times in five games.

Manuel Bueno is not disturbed in the center and simply pulls away from a distance. Kirsch in the BVB box stretches properly, but does not have to intervene. Nonetheless, the shot certainly didn’t come off badly.

17:20
BVB’s first change! Simic, who is a bit more offensive, comes in for Cisse. Can Dortmund excel more in terms of play with the change?

Substitution at Borussia Dortmund: Faroukou Cisse

Goktan Gürpüz (Borussia Dortmund) is shown a yellow card.
Very bad backwards movement by Borussia and so Guroüz, who has hurried back, has to resort to a tactical foul and of course sees a yellow card for it.
46
17:12
Go on! Both teams are back on the pitch, there are no changes on either side for the time being.

17:03
Mid-term conclusion:
No goals were scored between the U19 teams of FC Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund in the first half of the Youth League group game. At the end of the almost 55 minutes played, Borussia are better served, as it was the Andalusians who had the better chances in a game without many highlights. Strictly speaking, it only became dangerous twice: After three minutes, Alejandro Vázquez failed from the backcourt at Kirsch, almost 30 minutes later it was Alexandro Fernández and especially Manuel Bueno, who missed a double chance for the hosts. Dortmund came into play better overall in the middle of the first half, but lacked almost any offensive power. Towards the end of the first half things got heated on and off the pitch for no apparent reason. It is not yet clear what happened outside of the game, but it made for almost ten minutes of added time.
45
16:51
Yellow card for Prince Aning (Borussia Dortmund)
Aning steps slightly onto his opponent’s foot and immediately the mood boils up again. Probably also to calm things down quickly, the referee immediately pulls out the yellow card.
45
4:50 p.m
There is still a lot of discussion on the sidelines. The reason for this was not really clear, but something seems to have happened outside of the gameplay.
45
16:48
There’s still a whopping five minutes on top of that. The ball is currently on hold because there is a need for discussion. It’s always back to business here.
45
16:47
Official injury time (minutes): 5
42
16:45
Officially, there are still three minutes to go before the break, there will probably be some overtime. Will anything else happen here before then? At the moment it doesn’t seem like it.
38
16:40
Diego Hormigo (Sevilla FC) is shown a yellow card.
Hormigo lets Bamba run up on the half-left side and injures himself in the process. First he has to be treated, but he gets a yellow card on the way out.
36
16:37
Up front, Seville’s individual players keep showing their quality. In the Andalusians’ defence, that’s more of a team merit. BVB can’t get through against the well-organized Spaniards.
32
16:36
What a double chance for Seville! Alexandro Fernández nibbles on Semic and pulls into the box from the inside left position, but fails to complete the shot because of Kirsch. The ball bounces into the back room, where Manuel Bueno can finish. Mane, who is lying on the ground, somehow gets his heel into this shot and prevents the impact.
28
4:30 p.m
A little less than half an hour is played. At over 30 degrees Celcius there is now a “cooling break” for the teams. The guys from Dortmund in particular are no longer used to such temperatures.
25
16:27
So far, the viewers have not seen a real conclusion within the sixteen. Only the shot from 17 meters in the 3rd minute by Vazquez could be noted.
22
16:26
Because Dortmund does more for the game and Sevilla at least doesn’t offer anything easy, a lot happens in midfield. The teams mostly neutralize each other there in this phase.
18
16:21
Dortmund can now free themselves a bit because the Westphalians act more confidently when they have possession of the ball and don’t give up the ball too easily. Offensively, however, not too much comes from black and yellow.
14
16:17
Aning is “lucky” here in that his tackle against Alberto Collado was his first foul. Otherwise there could have been a yellow card here. The following free kick gets stuck in the wall.
11.
16:14
Dortmund really came forward for the first time, but after a cross from Bamba, the ball was cleared for a corner kick. This almost flies in BVB’s ears, but Sevilla does not play the counterattack well in the person of Alejandro Vázquez.
7.
16:09
The first minutes clearly belong to the Andalusians! So far Dortmund has hardly been able to get out of their own half and must be careful that Sevilla don’t get too clear chances to score.
3.
16:05
Very erratic start from BVB! First, Walz loses the ball in the forward movement, then Cisse cannot clear the ball properly. Alejandro Vázquez tries from the back, but fails because of the strong parrying Kirsch!
1.
16:02
Here we go! Seville toasts and that in the usual white dress. BVB also makes a classic appearance, in yellow and black.
15:21
Borussia Dortmund is struggling with very similar concerns. BVB also collapsed recently and conceded two goals in added time against Man City. They still lost the game 2:3 and because they also lost 0:2 against Copenhagen on the first day of the game, the Westphalians also have zero points. Should it still go into the knockout phase, a win is needed today.
15:15
After two games, Sevilla are at the bottom of the table with zero points. Not only the pointless record so far is important, the goal difference of 2:9 after a 1:5 against City and a 1:4 against Copenhagen is anything but good. In both matches you were able to hold a 1:1 at break, but then broke in the second 45 minutes.
14:55
Hello and welcome to the Youth League! Before the BVB professionals go for three points in the premier class tonight, the U19s must first prove themselves against the A youth team of FC Sevilla. Kick-off is at 4 p.m.!
