Nobody at Nottingham will want to think back fondly to the first leg of the previous season. Forrest went down 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium. In the second leg, Nottingham defied Guardiola’s team to draw 1-1. Overall, City won 41 of the 101 duels between the teams, while Nottingham won 32 games. 28 games ended in a draw.

Nottingham Forrest is still looking for the rhythm, the start of the season was like a roller coaster ride. After the opening defeat at runner-up Arsenal (1:2), a 2:1 win against Sheffield United and a 2:3 defeat at Manchester United followed.
