22:14

Almost the 3:0 by Draxler. After a cross from Müller, the second ball lands on Draxler, who volleys with his outside instep from a central position of 12 meters. The ball goes to the lower right corner. Marciano dives well and parries the shot. The Israeli keeper makes a good game.

Müller brings a cross from the right from the penalty area up to the five. Werner doesn’t get a header there, but the Israeli clearance falls short and lands on Kehrer’s foot, who volleys with the right. Marciano parries the hard shot with a flight.

59

22:04

The game was briefly interrupted because an Israeli was hit by Müller. After the break in treatment, however, we continue.

58

22:03

Against the ball, Musiala clearly plays on the double six. This gives him the opportunity to approach the opposing defense with speed after winning the ball. So far it looks very good how Musiala interprets the new position.

55

22:01

Since Müller has been on the pitch, Musiala has been playing between the lines as a free player. That’s good for the youngster. He now has the ball much more often and shakes up the Israeli defense. Weigl plays alone in the center when in possession of the ball.

53

21:58

Israel almost with the first shot on goal. Weigl loses the ball in midfield. At the end of the counterattack, Dabbur shoots from a central position from twelve meters. Tah blocks the ball.

52

21:57

Draxler plays Musiala on the right in the penalty area. The Bavarian lets a defender stand and then brings the ball from the baseline to the middle. Marciano intercepts the half-high cross.

50

21:56

Werner is sent on the journey to the right of Müller. He goes into the penalty area, curves around the Israeli goalkeeper and finishes in the empty goal. But the flag goes up. It was offside.

49

21:55

Weigl plays a diagonal ball to the left from the center. The outside player brings the ball low into the sixteen. Draxler pulls straight from 14 meters. But his shot slips over the slipper and goes over it clearly.

48

21:53

Hansi Flick makes two changes during the break. The change in the goalkeeper position was already clear before the game. In addition, Gündoğan is leaving. Musiala moves back a row and Müller goes to ten.

Kick-off 2nd half

45

21:38

mid-term conclusion
Germany goes into the break with a 2-0 win against Israel. The DFB-Elf had the game under control from the start. But there were only a few chances to score because the Germans lacked creativity. The only danger emanated from David Raum down the left flank. Israel repeatedly invited the home team through mistakes in their own half. The exploitation of chances left a lot to be desired until Kai Havertz headed in from a corner to take the lead. At the end of the first half another standard led to the 2:0. Germany’s performance so far has been sovereign, but by no means exhilarating. A little more variability in the offensive game would be desirable.

45

21:33

Timo Werner

Tooor for Germany, 2-0 through Timo Werner

Gündoğan brings the free kick from the left corner of the box halfway up to the near post. Werner sticks his right toe in. The ball hits the left post. That was a good free-kick variant. Werner may have been offside when he scored, but there is no VAR.

45

21:32

Official stoppage time (minutes): 1

45

21:32

Musiala is fouled on the left corner of the penalty area. That gives Germany a good free-kick position again.

43

21:30

It is remarkable how much the German game is designed for David Raum. Almost every attack runs down the left flank and Hoffenheim has brought countless crosses into the middle. However, the greatest chances came when playing flat through the middle.

40

21:27

The leadership for Germany was long overdue. Directly in front of the goal, Kai Havertz missed the huge chance to make it 1-0. The Chelsea man is the most conspicuous man on the field with David Raum.

36

21:23

Kai Havertz

Tooor for Germany, 1-0 through Kai Havertz

Space brings the due corner from right to center. Havertz is free to head the first post. His finish is deflected by an Israeli defender and hits an untenable top right. The leadership is well deserved.

35

21:23

Havertz misses the next chance. Schlotterbeck conquers the ball strongly on the center line. Then he sends Havertz right into the penalty area. Havertz approaches Marciano alone and fails in a one-on-one at the keeper. Marciano clears the corner with his foot.

34

21:21

Werner has the next good chance. Again he is staged by an Israeli error. From an acute angle, he pulls right in the penalty area with the right. Again the Israeli goalkeeper is on the spot. Then the flag goes up. Werner was previously offside.

32

21:20

Germany once again conquers an Israeli passport in half the score. This time Musiala gets the ball, which plays to Havertz on the right side of the penalty area. The Chelsea man walks parallel to the sixteen and then leaves the ball for Gündoğan, who pulls away. But his low shot is not a problem for Marciano.

31

21:17

In ball possession, Germany plays with a back three on the defensive. Space occupies the left wing. Draxler is on the right wing. But the game of the Germans is very left-leaning.

29

21:16

Havertz has the best chance of the game. After a cross from Raum, Draxler puts his head on Havertz, who accepts the ball and then volleys it from seven yards. His hard shot is a bit misplaced. Marciano parries great with one hand.

27

21:14

In an aerial duel with Kehrer, Dabbur gets his knee in the head. It wasn’t a foul, it was just unfortunate. It hurt for Dabbur though. After a short treatment, the striker can continue.

25

21:12

Gündoğan takes a shot from afar. His half-high flick with the right from the center goes a meter to the right of the goal.

23

21:10

Raum once again brings a cross from the left into the middle after a pass from Schlotterbeck. The Israeli goalkeeper deflects the ball over the crossbar to be on the safe side. The following corner brings nothing.

22

21:09

Little is still happening in this game. There is no movement between the lines near Germany. The central defenders usually do not have a passing station. So far, the only danger comes from Raum’s left side.

19

21:05

Raum brings a flat cross into the six-yard box from the left. Werner has a little space there. But he just missed the ball.

17

21:04

Now Israel gets some security through possession of the ball. The guests may not come from their own half, but it is the first time they have had the ball for a long time.

15

21:02

Germany has the ball almost all the time. Israeli counterattacks have so far been nipped in the bud. The pressing works very well.

14

21:01

So far, the penalty area is the end for the DFB team. So far, the good technicians in the German offensive have not been able to think of much.

11

20:58

Musiala uses Werner 15 meters centrally in front of the goal. The striker pulls away, but loses his balance when he shoots. That’s why the ball flies far over it.

10

20:57

Again Germany has a corner from the left. Raum gets the ball to the six-yard box, where Schlotterbeck goes for a header, but the Israeli goalkeeper consistently palms the ball away.

9

20:55

The next corner of space lands on an Israeli head.

8th

20:55

Schlotterbeck sends space to the left again. He brings a cross from the baseline into the middle, which is blocked to the corner.

7

20:53

Havertz got a ball in the face and has to shake himself briefly. But nothing worse happened.

5

20:51

Draxler is used by Havertz on the right in the penalty area and pulls from ten meters under pressure. His weak left shot is blocked.

4

20:51

Germany is preparing itself for Israel. The fit is correct. There is still a lack of speed with and without the ball.

2

20:49

Raum goes down the left flank for the first time and puts a cross in the middle. Havertz gets the ball in the back and sends Werner to the baseline. The pass is too imprecise and goes into the gate.

20:07

Marc-André ter Stegen starts today in the goalkeeping position. At half-time, the keeper from FC Barcelona is replaced by Kevin Trapp. Hansi Flick has already announced this.

20:05

Compared to the last international match on November 14, 2021 against Armenia, Hansi Flick will field five new players. The injured Jonas Hofmann is not available. Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, Matthias Ginter and Florian Neuhaus are also rotating onto the bench. They will be replaced by the following players: Debutant Nico Schlotterbeck starts in central defence. Comebacker Julian Weigl starts on the six. His namesake Julian Draxler is back in the DFB squad after a year and a half. He starts today alongside Jamal Musiala in attacking midfield. Timo Werner starts up front or on the wing.

19:54

Today’s opponent from Israel played a good World Cup qualifier, but still couldn’t qualify for the finals. The Israelis finished third in a group with Denmark, Scotland, Austria, the Faroe Islands and Moldova. They ended up ahead of Austria, but they were seven points short of second place, which is necessary for qualifying for the playoffs. The small country has been waiting for its second participation in the World Cup since 1970.

19:53

Preparations for the World Cup in Qatar in December start for Hansi Flick and his team today. Since the assistant coach took charge of the DFB team in 2014, all seven games have been won. So far, however, there have not been any real touchstones. Another rather small opponent awaits today in Israel. This game serves as an acclimatization for Tuesday’s endurance test against the Netherlands. Today players like Nico Schlotterbeck (starting XI) or Anton Stach can make their debut and Julian Weigl (starting XI) celebrates his comeback after five years.

19:51

Hello and welcome to the friendly game between Germany and Israel.
