Aston Martin in no man’s land
It was a used day for the Aston Martin team. As in the previous weeks, it seemed like the squad just couldn’t manage to get the best setup on the car for qualifying. Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel then had no chance and were eliminated in Q1. There were no more than 17th and 20th places for the sprint line-up.

Light and shadow at Mercedes
Mercedes should look to Friday with mixed feelings. The team had visibly made a leap forward in practice and qualifying, but threw away better starting positions due to mistakes and accidents in Q3. Hamilton even needed a replacement chassis. So the Mercedes is fast but still seems difficult to control.

Qualifying already driven
Due to the sprint weekend, the drivers had to qualify yesterday, according to the rules, not much can be changed in practice today and the practice should be used primarily for long runs. In qualifying, Max Verstappen narrowly beat Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari. But Haas was also surprisingly strong on one lap.
