How’s the weather?
The sticking point could also be the weather today. It is currently dry in Hungary, but showers are not excluded. The wind could also cause problems. He has refreshed powerfully and in the laps to the grid there were quite a few slowdowns.

Gasly out of the pit lane
Things are different with Pierre Gasly. It also received a new engine for today’s race. However, as this is the fourth power unit, there will be a penalty and the Frenchman will start out of the pit lane.

Red Bull debacle
Meanwhile, Red Bull experienced a veritable debacle. Max Verstappen had shown in Q1 and Q2 that you have to reckon with him, but then the engine went on strike in the decisive Q3 of all times. Verstappen had no performance and eventually ended up in a disappointing tenth place. A major setback in the direction of the World Championship, especially since overtaking is not easy on the circuit in Hungary. Teammate Sergio Pérez didn’t fare much better. He is only eleventh after being knocked out in Q2. Both drivers received a new engine for today’s race. There is no penalty for this as the limits have not been exceeded.

Pole surprise on Saturday
Nobody would have expected this qualifying result on Saturday. Although the feared rainy qualifying didn’t happen, there was a big surprise at the end. Not a Ferrari or Red Bull is at the front of the grid, but George Russell in the Mercedes. The Brit secured his first career pole and the first for Mercedes this season. Next to him Carlos Sainz starts the race. Charles Leclerc is third on the grid alongside Lando Norris, who was able to get fourth place for McLaren.
Warm welcome!
Hello and welcome to the final Formula 1 race of the summer break. Can Max Verstappen further extend his lead in the World Championship or will Ferrari fight back in Hungary? The answers will be given in the race from 3:00 p.m.
