Half-time conclusion:
Eintracht Frankfurt had problems in their Conference League debut against FC Aberdeen and couldn’t get more than a 1-1 draw after 45 minutes. The game started perfectly for the SGE: after less than nine minutes, the fast Dina-Ebimbe took a penalty, which Marmoush coolly converted (11th). The first twenty minutes clearly went to the SGE, Aberdeen barely appeared in the opposition half. But then the Scots shocked the Adlerträger: Devlin pushed into the center, where Polvara was too free and scored the equalizer out of nowhere (22nd). After a few hectic minutes, Frankfurt was the more dominant team again, but had too few ideas in attack.

7:36 p.m
A last corner from Frankfurt is harmless, the resting balls can still be improved.
45.+2
19:34
Dina-Ebimbe is close to the baseline when receiving a cross from the right side and wants to bring the header from the left into the center, at least getting a corner kick in the process. This one is kicked far too far into no man’s land.

Will Frankfurt get dangerously close to the opponent’s goal again in four minutes of injury time?

19:32
The goalscorer Polvara lifts the ball towards the goal while turning, but that’s not a big task for Trapp.
43.
19:32
A good idea from Smolčić! The Croatian chips the ball half-right into the penalty area and catches Aaronson’s run. He appears quite freely in front of the goal, but doesn’t get the ball pushed towards the goal with any pressure, Roos saves. The linesman signals an offside position, but that would have been extremely close.
42.
19:29
Offensively, however, it is now more harmless than at the beginning, there is less movement in Frankfurt’s game. Nkounkou picks up the pace on the left wing, but his cross gets stuck on a guest player.
40.
19:27
The SGE is now a little more superior on the field again, in Frankfurt it is now pouring rain.

Substitution at Eintracht Frankfurt: Hugo Larsson

Substitution at Eintracht Frankfurt: Sebastian Rode
38.
7:25 p.m
Bitter for Frankfurt: Things aren’t going any further for Sebastian Rode, the captain has probably had problems with his foot for a few moments and is now leaving the pitch limping. Youngster Larsson will come in for him soon.
35.
19:22
Miovski is placed in the scene with a deep through pass on the right and has a one-on-one situation against Koch. The former Freiburg chef wins the duel, the rescue operation is strong! The linesman raises the flag anyway, offside.
33.
7:19 p.m
The eagle bearers make more mistakes in this phase and the structure of the game is not perfect. Aberdeen could make better use of the gaps that appear on counterattacks.
30.
19:17
On the field, the home team is currently trying to regain more control of the game. But this doesn’t work as well as in large parts of the first twenty minutes.
28.
7:16 p.m
It’s getting louder in the stadium and some objects are flying from the guest block towards Eintracht fans. Especially after the equalizer, the atmosphere in Frankfurt became more heated.
27.
19:14
Robin Koch heads the corner kick from the right side, but puts it clearly to the left of the opponent’s goal.
25.
19:12
Yellow card for Paxten Aaronson (Eintracht Frankfurt)
Aaronson prevents a possible counterattack by the guests and fouls Shinnie deep in the opponent’s half.
24.
19:12
Suddenly there is a party atmosphere in the Scottish guest block and the cards are being reshuffled again. Frankfurt actually had everything under control, the defense didn’t seem completely secure throughout, but Aberdeen didn’t really have a chance yet.

Tooor for Aberdeen FC, 1-1 by Dante Polvara
Out of nowhere, Aberdeen equalizes and punishes the disorganized Frankfurt defense! The ball is distributed from the center to the right edge of the penalty area, Nicky Devlin plays a deflected cross pass in front of the goal. Polvara is far too free there and hits the ball over Trapp and under the crossbar.

7:08 p.m
Miosvki needs treatment, first limps and then runs out the pain. Shortly after the ball rolls again, the striker is able to return to the pitch and fortunately he apparently did not suffer any serious injuries.
19.
7:06 p.m
Smolčić is put under pressure by Miovski as the game builds up and releases the ball just in front of the sprinting striker. After releasing the ball, however, he hits the North Macedonian in the ankle with an open sole, which looks painful.
17.
7:05 p.m
After a close duel, Jamie McGrath has surprisingly a lot of space in front of him and shoots a bit too frantically from just over twenty meters. The hasty shot clearly misses the goal to the right.
16.
7:04 p.m
And Frankfurt continues to put pressure on, pushing Aberdeen deep into their own half. The Hessians keep trying to chip balls into the penalty area, but now it’s too far for Marmoush.
15.
7:03 p.m
All in all, this is of course a good prerequisite for Frankfurt, because with the 1-0 win behind them, there is no waiting for the lead and a potentially very complicated game.
13.
7:01 p.m
Marmoush is sent on the half-left and is faster than his opponents, runs towards the gate alone. But he hesitates for too long and stumbles on the ball against the advancing opponent, so he has to finish faster! Skhiri’s long-range shot a few seconds later gets stuck.

18:57
Great for Eintracht Frankfurt, 1-0 by Omar Marmoush
Marmoush steps up and stays cool, pushing the ball flat into the right corner. Aberdeen keeper Roos is on his way to the other corner so the Eintracht fans can cheer!

18:57
Penalty for the SGE! The Frankfurters play deep for the first time with a lot of movement, Rode plays a great through ball to the right. Dina-Ebimbe overtakes MacKenzie in the penalty area and cleverly brings his body in front of him, the Scot trips into his legs and brings him down. Clear thing!
8th.
18:56
When Frankfurt has the ball, Aberdeen positions itself compactly at the back and does well at the start. For the first time, the Scottish team holds the ball longer and is awarded a free kick in the right half of the field. Jensen takes a follow-up shot, but gets stuck on a Frankfurter.
5.
18:52
The Eintracht fans are already in a good mood and things are still quite comfortable on the pitch.
3.
6:50 p.m
Aaronson’s first corner clearly falls short, but Aberdeen can almost counter. Nkounkou intercepts a deep through pass – important, otherwise the Scots would have been free through.
2.
6:49 p.m
The referee team comes from Cyprus, the man at the whistle is called Chrysovalantis Theouli. After kick-off, Eintracht is in a long phase of possession, which will probably happen a few more times today.

Let’s get started on Frankfurter Eintracht’s next European adventure! The home team plays in black European jerseys with a red stripe, Aberdeen appears in white jerseys.

A minute’s silence remembers the victims of the natural disasters in Morocco and Libya.
18:43
SGE coach Dino Toppmöller rotated diligently compared to the 1-1 draw at VfL Bochum: Smolčić and Rode relegated Larsson and Tuta to the bench, Aaronson and Marmoush played instead of Buta and Ngankam.
18:41
The only two previous duels between Frankfurt and Aberdeen (1:1 and 1:0 for the SGE) date from the 1979/80 UEFA Cup competition, which Eintracht ultimately won. It was Frankfurt’s only European Cup title – until a year and a half ago.
6:37 p.m
Given the past strong European Cup seasons, the SGE is still one of the title favorites in the Conference League. Aston Villa and Fenerbahce are also likely to be contenders for the title, Besiktas, OSC Lille, AC Florence and other teams such as Club Brugge and Viktoria Plzen could also fight for the title, plus of course the Europa League relegated teams.
6:33 p.m
Eintracht got off to a mediocre start to the new season under new coach Dino Toppmöller. Although Frankfurt is still unbeaten in competitive games, the SGE was unable to get beyond a 1-1 draw three times in a row in a fairly feasible opening program – against the teams from Mainz, Cologne and Bochum, all of which were in poor form. Hessenderby’s 1-0 win against SV Darmstadt on the first matchday is the only league win of the young season to date.
18:27
The Eagle Bearers from Frankfurt are starting their third European Cup season in a row – and in the third competition. By winning the historic Europa League title in 2022, they qualified for the 2022/23 Champions League season, in which they played a strong group phase and reached the round of 16. However, after a 0:2 and 0:3 defeat against SSC Naples, it was clearly over. In the Bundesliga, Eintracht jumped to seventh place on an exciting final matchday in May and thus qualified for the Conference League.
18:21
From Aberdeen’s perspective, the view of the present is not nearly as brilliant; at the start of the season, the port city residents are in a crisis. In the Scottish league, which is not particularly strong, especially across the board, Aberdeen was unable to win any of its first five games and is in second-to-last place in the table with two draws and three defeats.
6:14 p.m
FC Aberdeen has a successful history to look forward to; under legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson, the Scots were champions three times in the 1980s and even became the third Scottish club to celebrate an international title: FC Aberdeen won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1983 a 2-1 final win against Real Madrid.
6:09 p.m
Frankfurt won the ECL playoffs against Levski Sofia late; after a 1-1 draw in the first leg, it was 0-0 in the second leg until the 79th minute. Ngankam and Skhiri redeemed the SGE fans, thanks to the 2-0 win the Hessians got their ticket to the European Cup.
6:01 p.m
Aberdeen could have qualified for the Europa League, but lost to Swedish club BK Häcken in the playoffs with a draw and a defeat (2:2, 1:3). In the Conference League, Aberdeen is the only Scottish participant, the two competitors lost in the qualifying rounds.
5:55 p.m
The Frankfurters kick off at home and host FC Aberdeen. The Scots, known as the “Dons”, finished third in the last league season behind the two Glasgow clubs – Celtic and Rangers.
17:51
As the head of Group G, Eintracht Frankfurt were drawn interesting and attractive but solvable opponents, for example escaping possible duels with Aston Villa or AC Fiorentina. PAOK Thessaloniki, HJK Helsinki and FC Aberdeen are the attractive opponents, some of whom promise atmospheric games and interesting away trips.
5:45 p.m
Eintracht Frankfurt’s next European tour begins with a home game against FC Aberdeen. The Conference League season begins for the SGE at 6:45 p.m. in Deutsche Bank Park, good evening and welcome!
