Directly after Havertz missed the premiere chance, new signing Koulibaly gave the hosts the lead; the Senegalese scored directly from a corner by Cucurella (19′). They then set the pace with clear field and ball possession advantages, but almost equalized thanks to a counterattack by Sessegnon (22′).
