Borussia Dortmund remained unbeaten in their last eight competitive games against TSG Hoffenheim (W7 D1) and even won the last six duels with Sinsheim in a row (most recently 1-0 at home in the second round of the DFB Cup this season at the beginning of November 2023). It is the 35th duel between the two clubs – TSG has not played so many competitive games against any other team in German professional football.

In the 2024 calendar year, Borussia Dortmund is the only team other than Bayer 04 Leverkusen that is still unbeaten in the Bundesliga (W4 D2) and has collected 14 points, only the Werkself more (16). In 2024, TSG Hoffenheim, along with Darmstadt, are the only ones in the upper house still without a win and only got three points from six BL games, only the lilies less (2).

After TSG Hoffenheim won their first five away games of this Bundesliga season, the Kraichgauers have now been without a win in six BL games away from home (D2 L4). In the last five BL guest games, TSG have always conceded at least two goals; six times in a row would be a new club record in the upper house.

Borussia Dortmund conceded just two goals in six Bundesliga games in 2024, fewer than any other team. TSG Hoffenheim, meanwhile, has already conceded 11 goals in 2024 (like RB Leipzig), only SC Freiburg has conceded more (14).

TSG Hoffenheim remained without a clean sheet in their last 17 Bundesliga games; only FCA in the upper house currently has a longer streak of conceding goals (25 games). Only from April 2013 to January 2014 did TSG have to wait longer for a clean slate in the upper house – back then, 24 BL games under Markus Gisdol.

In the opening quarters of this Bundesliga season, Borussia Dortmund have already scored eight goals, only FC Bayern have scored more often (11 times). However, TSG Hoffenheim only conceded two goals in the first 15 minutes of this BL season, and only FCB conceded less (1).

Borussia Dortmund have already conceded five goals from penalties, only Bochum (6) and Heidenheim (7) have conceded more this Bundesliga season. TSG Hoffenheim, on the other hand, has already scored six times from the spot, which is the joint highest in the league (Freiburg also 6). In the first leg on matchday 6 of this season, Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric scored from a penalty at home against BVB to make it 1-1 (final score 3-1 for BVB).

Borussia Dortmund’s Niclas Füllkrug was directly involved in three goals in his last two Bundesliga home games, which he has achieved since. Data collection in 2004/05 only two Dortmund players in the upper house before: Raphaël Guerreiro in February/March 2023 and Erling Haaland in April 2022. In addition, Füllkrug only scored more BL goals against Bochum (6) than against TSG (5, including the 1- 0 on matchday 6 of this season).

TSG Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric only scored more Bundesliga goals against Hertha BSC (12) than against Borussia Dortmund (9). He also scored his only four-pack in a BL game against BVB (4-0 in Dortmund in June 2020). In the first leg on matchday 6 he scored the score 1-1 (1-3).

Borussia Dortmund’s Edin Terzic has won all four of his competitive matches against Pellegrino Matarazzo, something he has only managed against Oliver Glasner. Terzic has not yet celebrated five competitive game victories against any other coach.
