In the 5th and last match of the Greek Basketball League play-off final series, Olympiacos became the champion by beating Panathinaikos AKTOR, coached by Ergin Ataman, 89-85. The home team started the fifth game of the series at the Peace and Friendship Hall well, leading 26-17 in the first period and went into the locker room 47-35. Leading 69-59 in the final period, Olympiakos won the game 89-85, making it 3-2 in the series and clinching the championship.
