Duo Leitner/Eder for Austria
Felix Leitner and Simon Eder qualified for the mass start for the Austrians. The current top 30 athletes in the world take part in the race. In addition to the top 15 in the overall World Cup, all medal winners from Zhangjiakou and the best point collectors of a special ranking at the games are qualified. DSV men so far without a medal
The German biathlon men now have to mobilize all reserves for the mass start in Zhangjiakou to prevent a zero number in Beijing.
